Explore four of Kenya’s top game parks – Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Hell’s Gate and Amboseli National Parks – on thrilling game viewing drives over 8 adventure-filled days. Maasai Mara is a large game reserve measuring 1,510 kilometers square in south western Kenya contiguous with Serengeti National park in Tanzania, it is famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and its annual migration of zebra and wildebeest which occur from July to October hence known as the great migration.

Lake Nakuru national park is one of the Rift valley soda lakes, it is at an elevation of 1754 meters above the sea level; the park is famous for the big five and bird’s sanctuary, there are no elephants in Lake Nakuru National Park. Explore Lake Nakuru National Park, an important wildlife sanctuary, hosting an abundance of birds and varied wildlife, including both white and black rhinos. A truly scenic and wildlife epic in Africa’s safari gem – Kenya! 

Hell’s Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water gouged-gorges, stark rock towers and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Guests can enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural spa.

Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. It’s one of the best places to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.

Day 01: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

. Pick up from the Junction mall at 07:00am and drive to Maasai Mara game reserve, the northern part of the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem, and one of Kenya’s most favored game viewing areas. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Lunch at the camp followed by afternoon game viewing drives. Accommodation at Maasai Mara Manyatta camp. Meal plan: {L, D} 

Day 02: Maasai Mara

Morning game drive in Maasai Mara till 11am. Proceed back to the camp for hot lunch. Rest for about an hour and then proceed for an afternoon game drive from 3:30pm. Accommodation at Maasai Mara Manyatta camp. Meal plan: {B, L, D}

 

Optional visit to Maasai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged – $20 per person. Also optional Hot air balloon ride can be arranged either of the mornings, then proceed with your game drive – $450 per person. Kindly let us know if you would be interested to do the balloon safari so that we can make prior arrangements.

Day 03: Maasai Mara

 Full day game viewing drives in this vast, open grasslands of the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem and home to over 3 million large mammals. Sunrise and sundowner provides the greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time where the soft red hues of the sun will give your photographs the clarity of the actual African Savannah. Morning game viewing includes drive to the Mara River where you will be able to view the resident hippos and crocodiles.

The Mara is the land of African legend; Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen, and less commonly the rhino. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds, is found in the reserve. Late afternoon drive back for dinner and overnight at the Maasai Mara Manyatta Camp or Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge. Meal plan: {B, L, D} 

Day 04: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru.

 A last game run in the picturesque Maasai Mara in the morning before breakfast. After breakfast depart for Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable large number of animals to be seen, such as Zebras, buffalo and Gazelles. This is one of our best chances of seeing white and black Rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can also see endangered Rothschild’s Giraffes. Accommodation at City Max hotel. Meal plan: {B, L, D} 

Day 05:Lake Nakuru - Naivasha.

After breakfast, morning spent game viewing, watching and photographing birds and other big games at Lake Nakuru National Park. After the game drive leave for Naivasha having lunch at Naivasha then rest or do an optional activity. Accommodation at Taphe Guest House. Meal plan: {B, L, D}

 

Optional activities at Lake Naivasha are boat ride to view hippo and a wealth of bird life, fishing – both sport and commercial fishing

Day 06:Hell’s Gate - Amboseli

After breakfast, proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park where you will bike for an hour in the park. You will then proceed to do a gorge hiking for one and a half hours. After the hiking you’ll then depart for Amboseli having lunch at Maai Mahiu. After lunch you’ll proceed to Amboseli National Park arriving at 5:00pm. Accommodation at Kimana Amboseli Camp. Day 07: Amboseli National Park

Full day game drive where Mount Kilimanjaro’s background offers good photographic scenery with herds or elephants and other animals on the background. Accommodation at Kimana Amboseli Camp. Meal plan: {B, L, D} 

Day 08: Amboseli National Park

 Morning game viewing from 6:30am. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi. Meal plan: {B}
